Clara Mey is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from
Baldwin Wallace University outside of Cleveland, Ohio, majoring in both sociology and philosophy. Following that, she earned her Master’s in sociology from the University of Delaware. Her master's thesis was titled "Barely There: An Analysis of Stealthing as a Social Problem." Clara's research interests include social media, critical fat studies, and sociological theory. Clara is currently on a team with Dr. Paul Brewer analyzing UFO/UAP, paranormal, and cryptid TikTok videos and examining the effects of short-form social media videos (Last Week Tonight) on belief in UFOs.
In her spare time, Clara enjoys crafting, true crime podcasts, and snuggling with her dog.
